Lead Project Design Teams
Most building projects require the input of a variety of specialists although the need will vary from project to project and will also depend on the size of the project. Where required, Parsons & Whittley are able to coordinate the input of a whole range of specialists, consulting engineers and the like, ensuring that their work is carried out efficiently and in conjunction with the rest of the team. This coordinated approach avoids the duplication of effort and ensures a completed project which reflects the care and attention provided by each member of the team.
We are able to do this through a network of associated professionals and businesses with whom we have worked over a number of years and who are all committed to the quality of project with which we are normally associated.

Provide Building Contract Advice and Administration
Parsons & Whittley are able to offer advice in respect of the various forms of contract available for the procurement of building work.
We are particularly familiar with the JCT standard forms of building contract which we generally find to be both fair and reasonable to both parties. We can offer advice as to which of the various forms are appropriate for any given project and we are able to formally prepare the relevant contract forms and necessary documents for signature by both parties.
Where these contracts call for the roll of Contract Administrator, we are generally able to fulfil that role. This would normally entail regular inspections of the work and progress to ensure that it is in accordance with the contract documents, regular valuations and certificates as required, control of variations and changes to the work as they arise, and agreement of the final account where necessary.
Provide 'As Built' Information on Completion
Once a building project is complete, many clients like to receive and keep an updated copy of the contract drawings and specifications.
Once all this information has been gathered together, it provides a detailed description of the project 'as built', indicating where changes and amendments occurred during the build process.
Parsons & Whittley are able to provide a full 'as built' service where they have been appointed as contract administrators or where specific provisions have been made.
